Tour #1: Renewable Energy Tour

October 26th 12:30-19:15

The first tour highlights various “Renewable Energy” technologies and provides participants to with the opportunity to visit the following three sites:

• a 40 MW wind farm consisting of 18 wind turbines
• a 80 MW solar farm (one of the largest in Canada)
• a Landfill-To-Energy generation site that uses landfill methane to produce clean energy.

Tour #2: Hydro Power & Energy/Environment Research Tour

October 28th 12:30-16:00

The second tour enlightens the participants on the topics of “Hydro Power & Energy/Environmental Research” through visits to the following two sites:

• the Fanshawe Hydro Electric Dam
• the WindEEE Dome which is the world’s first hexagonal wind tunnel capable of highly complex simulations.
