IEEE Young Professionals, Windsor Section presents

“Smart Sharing of Radio Electrical Spectrum”

Abstract: Usable portions of the radio spectrum are becoming scarcer with introduction and the evolution of the new wireless communications technologies. The IEEE working group has developed standards to better utilize the available vacant radio spectrum bands such as the TV White Spaces (TVWS) with IEEE 802.22 standard approved in 2011. This lecture is about how this standard works, considerations, application, and a vision of the future wireless communications that use a smart shared spectrum.
