IEEE Joint Chapter Circuit and Systems and Computer Society jointly presents:

SaSy design: A healthcare, an industrial, and a system-on-chip example

About the Topic:

Self-aware System (SaSy) design refers to methods for designing systems which monitor their own state and that of their environment to adjust their behaviour and improve their performance. To design SaSys, a designer needs to consider enhancing the system with means to obtain information about available resources within the system, relevant environmental conditions, expectations, current goals, and priorities. The system also needs to be able to make decisions and react accordingly, to meet its requirements and achieve its objectives.

Speaker: Nima Taheri Nejad, University Assistant at TU  Wien, Vienna, and a Ph.D. graduate of UBC, Vancouver.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Taheri Nejad has authored a book and published in/served as a reviewer for various journals and conferences. He also served as the chair and secretary (public relations) in a number of robotic competitions and as the chair of the Auto21 HQP Advisory Committee and a member of its Board of Directors.Currently, his main areas of focus are Self-awareness in Cyber-Physical Systems, Embedded Systems, Systems on Chip, Healthcare and Robotics.
